Oklahoma DHS adjusters follow the resident adjuster CE structure.

Producer general courses approved in Oklahoma may also apply for title agents when approved for that use.

Renewal Timing

Do not wait until the final week.

CE completion, transcript compliance, and the license renewal transaction are separate steps. Build in time for correction.

CE is required biennially before license renewal.
The transcript must show CE COMPLIANT before the licensee can renew online.
The Oklahoma Insurance Department recommends completing CE at least 30 days before license expiration.
Courses generally cannot be repeated within a 24-month calendar period.
Up to 6 excess general credit hours may carry forward to the next 24-month period.

Special Training

Some products add training requirements.

Some Oklahoma licensees have additional training requirements tied to specific products or authority. Product-specific training counts toward your general CE total and is reflected on your transcript with the appropriate credit type.

Long-Term Care

Producers who sell, solicit, or negotiate long-term care insurance must complete 8 hours of initial LTCP training before offering the product and 4 hours of recurring LTCP training each renewal cycle.

Annuities

Annuity Best Interest training is a one-time 4-hour training requirement before selling, soliciting, or negotiating annuity products.

Nonresident Licenses

Nonresident producer CE is generally reciprocal when the producer has satisfied the CE requirement in the resident state. Nonresident adjusters must satisfy CE in at least one state where they hold an active adjuster license.
